Saturday, April 17: Invasive Plant Removal at Greenfield Park
I spent this morning with members of the West Chester Green Team, West Chester Tree Team, and West Chester Tree Commission, as well as the Borough Arborist, Mike Dunn. We cleared out invasive species on the banks of Goose Creek and laid down mulch to prevent more from taking root. Stay tuned for a planting in the fall.
I met a lot of folks and learned about the work done to maintain the creek. I look forward to connecting with Mr. Dunn to talk about ways we can prevent flooding, because that is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Day Chalk Walk and Green Team Sign Reveal
We want to thank the West Chester Green Team for inviting us to participate in their Earth Day Chalk Walk. We drew outside the United Methodist Church of West Chester and got to meet some of the folks who work there. I also attended the reveal of the Green Team sign down at West Chester University, and made some new friends! Read the Daily Local article here.
