Night of the Living Dead is the first movie about a zombie outbreak, shot in Pennsylvania by George Romero. It is a movie about fear, survival, and trust amid a global catastrophe. The film’s themes are still relevant today and the historic performance by Duane Jones as Ben, the first Black lead in a Horror movie, is as powerful today as it was in 1968 during the height of the Civil Rights era.

The evening will be hosted by Kyle Hudson, Rae Gordon, Karli Kimbrough and Doug Keller, former hosts of the World’s Finest Show, so stay tuned after the movie for a conversation on the film and how popular culture reflects modern problems.
